Panicum

ZF1386

Back Zoo Nature Panicum is a natural grass with copper to yellow-brown flowering spikes. Panicum, also called finger grass or feather millet, is native to North and Central America. Panicum is a complementary food with a high acceptance level: birds and rodents love to nibble on it! Panicum is carefully harvested, dried and packaged to safely give to your cockatiel or rodent. 100% Natural and untreated. Suitable for all types of birds and seed-eating rodents such as rats, mice, gerbils and hamsters.

Panicum is not only a healthy variation to your animal's diet, but also stimulates natural foraging behavior. In fact, the Panicum will have to be peeled before it can be eaten. As a result, your bird or rodent has to make extra efforts to get its food, just like in nature. The panicum can also be scattered around the enclosure (in pieces), so that your little rodent has to search for its food.

For birds, the Back Zoo Nature Grass Keeper is ideal: put the Panicum (possibly in combination with other grains or grasses) upright in the Back Zoo Nature Grass Keeper so that the spikelets point upwards, just like they grow in nature. You then easily attach the keeper to any lattice cage with screw and wing nut, allowing you to present and offer this enrichment naturally. In addition, the Panicum does not remain lying around on the floor and stays clean. Functional and a natural look in the enclosure!
